Hmm, maybe drop Kenny Perry a few spots on my list of favorites this week. It turns out that Perry’s first major of 2008 will take place on a renovated setup that he doesn’t seem to like. Perry is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour this season, is first in scoring average (69.51), and 33rd in driving distance. However, he is only 117th in driving accuracy.
“All the bunkering is in our landing zone. You’ve got to hit the fairways. [And] I just don’t understand 260-yard par 3s. It’s hard enough to hit a 5-iron to that green (No. 9), especially with all of the shelving. It’s going to be quite a test.”
