Rain, rain, go away?

Actually, why do I get the feeling that half of the remaining field wouldn’t really mind if this whole thing was just washed out, everyone went home (well, onto the Wyndham), and J.B. Holmes was crowned champion?

Jason Sobel blogged all day about the rain, though it’s a better read than it sounds.

Geoff Shackelford links to Steve Elling’s story, which quotes Chris DiMarco’s ripping Holmes’ slow play. Kudos to DiMarco, by the way. If the PGA won’t enforce its own slow play policy, the players need to start policing themselves. Hey, it works in other sports.

Finally, Jeff Rude wonders if CBS’ highlights of the Woods-Bob May duel that it ran today will garner better ratings than the actual tournament. It’s a really good question.
